The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has launched an online learning platform, X-Academy e-learning to educate individuals interested in the capital market. The X-Academy debuted in 2017, but the e-learning platform kicks off this month.

The online learning platform began three days ago; June 3, 2019 to be precise. Its aim is to redefine learning experiences as it relates to the stock market. Since the launch of the X-Academy 50 training programmes has been facilitated for over 2,000 individuals.
Benefits of the platform:
The X-Academy e-learning was created to provide flexible lectures that fit into the schedules of interested participants be it individuals, corporations and institutions.
People now have control over their learning schedules regardless of their location.
The platform offers users ease of access to highly structured and comprehensible self-paced capital market and soft skills learning content.
The platform currently features some free courses.
X-Academy will reach a much wider audience more than ever before.
Why this matters: The online learning platform will assist in building and sustaining financial literacy, by providing accessible, cost-effective, and high-quality learning. Also, stakeholders will get to undergo courses taught by industry experts within and outside the capital market.
According to the Chief Human Resource Officer of NSE, Miss. Pai Gamde,
“The provision of X-Academy e-learning is surely a breakthrough for us at the Exchange, as we look to give our stakeholders the tools to achieve excellence.”
